Chip in for a Cure was founded in 1995 by a Sheila Wolfon and Charlene Jarvis who wanted to raise money to benefit cancer research. In 2001 "Chip In For A Cure" became its own 501C3 charity and decided to apply the proceeds from its fundraisers to help women in the Greater Hartford area. We have donated approximately $350,000 to Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center and Hartford Hospital specifically to be used for research and their breast health programs.
Our first Martini Night was a great success and we want to Thank Everyone who attended for their support of the event. We raised $10,500 from tickets sales, donations and the Silent Auction and 100% of the money we raised will be shared by the Breast Cancer research and education programs at
Hartford Hospital and
Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center. We look forward to another fun night in 2010. We would like to thank CT Distributors and Dot Com Wines for donating the beverages and everyone who contributed to the Silent Auction Items. In the Silent Auction alone we raised over $3,000.00.
